Legends of giants, princes, and dragons,
women of the lake, the forest and the fountain,
tales of rocky places, dark mines and healing wells,
stories and songs of lost love, persuasion and enchanted places,
childhood adventure and ancient wisdom,
symbols of tradition and changes of the seasons -
There's magic in a folk tale and a journey to awaken in each of us -
a little birdie told me so....

Jodee, Phil and the
buoy
Jodee James & Phil Evans
Husband and wife team, Jodee James & Phil Evans, offer a
colorful mix of story, song and life in Wales. Phil Evans, born and raised
in Wales, high up in the Taff Valley, in Penydarren,
Merthyr Tydfil, a working town of colleries and ironworks, came to America
ten years ago as a millwright. He began his second career as a teller of
tall tales and folklore of Celtic lands, especially those of Wales, when he
stepped on stage, filling in last minute with his readings of Dylan Thomas
at the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center in Milwaukee.
Jodee and Phil add a dimension to Celtic lore and music that is both fun,
enlightening and unique. In addition they offer special programs on mining,
the Early Welsh in America and the Welsh in Pennsylvania. For more

Even the Stones
Have Their Stories to Tell
It only seemed natural to ask
Arlene Muzyka to join me in a special program about stones. Arlene who is
part of the band, is an avid jewelry maker who works with semi precious
stones and is knowledgeable in their historic usage and healing qualities.
Several months ago, a fellow "journeyer" i met while doing a show in
Pittsburgh, sent me a "holey" stone that she picked up on a visit to Wales,
i believe near Hay-on-Wye. (Thank you Elizabeth!) This special stone,
hanging on a ribbon nearby here, is a good reminder for a new program i hope
to share with you. All my life rocks and stones have fascinated me and when
it was suddenly pointed out to me later down the road that they can't
actually be living things, i set out to see otherwise.
Even the Stones Have Their Stories to Tell, has an emphasis on stones,
rocks, caves and craggy places of Celtic Wales. It strings together songs,
stories, history and lore - the singing rocks, the dancing rocks, the
monumental places, as well as the use of stones in Celtic design and its
powerful placement in physical and spiritual healing - all in their
mysterious ways, all with their story to tell.
